Delivered live without computers, using vintage-flavoured synths, drum machines, vocoders and samplers all hooked together via midi, Tvål’s sound takes its cues from the electronic end of krautrock, synth-heavy library & soundtrack music of the late 70s & early 80s, early Depeche Mode b-sides, the moogier end of Sun Ra, and the sampledelic first few years of Mo’Wax.
The album has picked up excellent coverage in local and underground press and radio, as well as a feature and review in May 2025’s Electronic Sound magazine and airtime on Stuart Maconie’s Freak Zone on BBC6Music. Recent gigs in Northampton, Coventry, Leicester and London with Japanese Television, Midding, Kalac and Purple Heart Parade, have taken their live performance of the LP up a notch or two…

Stone Anthem is the ongoing psychedelic, electronic and experimental recording and live project from Coventry-based Archie Ingram. Exploring the human spirit and its environments with the use of sound, pushing it to the outer limits. Combining psychedelic video collages with introspective songs and soundscapes and pulling together atmospheres and distant lands, through different mediums as a means to make the journey feel somewhat blissful and beautiful.
Using a combination of analogue and digital synthesis, cassette tape loops, reel to reel tape manipulation guitars, and vocal effects, Stone Anthem aims to create a stratosphere of bliss, hence the sellout debut album title “Between the Bliss” released at the age of 16 on Castles in Space. After playing around the UK with artists such as Panda Bear, Three Quarter Skies (Simon Scott of Slowdive), Sonic Boom and Pete Bassman, Stone Anthem is back with an upcoming, highly anticipated second instalment set to be released and announced very soon on cult electronic label Castles in Space.
